The Beginning!

The reason for this blog is to bring Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ and encouragement to those in need of him.

I have been married for 22 years this year and on the 12th year we encounter cancer. I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a childhood cancer. I was 30 and had 2 small children.

This is not what my husband and I had in mind for our future. I had just quit work 6 months earlier to stay home with our children and get them ready for school. My husband and I had our dream place of 80 acres and ready to build our farm. Everything was going great in our lives. But this is not one of the things we wanted to encounter. I had to have my bone cut out and replaced with titanium rod that was suppose to bend at the knee area. Well mine is just straight. Yes, I look like Frankenstein's daughter walking around on one side. But I can still get around. It was caused by a bone infection, between the bone and prosthetic. It was about 3 years of all of this but the Lord was with us all the way. No we aren't over all the mess with dealing with it but after 10 years it's somewhat easier. Only with the Lord's help, we can't do it on our own. And if you have ever went through a sickness with your family or a loved one it isn't just them that go through it, it's you and the whole family.

I hope that I or my family can bring some encouragement to those that read this, if you are going through anything. But remember we can't do anything without Jesus, so don't think that we are great because it's not us it's Him.
