I am not trying to gross anyone out, but I thought I would share what I am still going through everyday after 12 years. 13 years ago I had bone cancer (Osteo sarcoma), it is a childhood cancer and yes, I was one of the oldest to come down with this terrible disease. Just before all my chemo treatments was done, my cook line that was in my chest to receive my chemo became infected. The infection went to the weakest part of my body, which ended up being in my leg that the cancer was found. The infection ended up between the bone and the prosthesis, yes the prosthesis is in my leg. The doctors put me on several rounds of antibiotics for a couple of years then they decide they needed to remove the prosthesis. They did that and I went the whole summer with a hollow tube in my leg so they could make a new prosthetic bone. At the end of the summer I went back and they put a new and longer prosthesis in my leg. It was good for a year and then the horrible monster raised his ugly head again. And, yes I am to live on antibiotics for the rest of my life.
The gauze pads on my leg is covering holes where the infection drains out non stop every minute of everyday. So this where I am at today, trying to keep my leg and praying for God's healing. Yes, I do believe even with all I have been through he will heal me. He has healed me of cancer, there is just a 2 year life expectancy with this type of cancer and I have been around for 13 1/2 years. His promise is in the bible. Isaiah 53:5 "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,and by his wounds we are healed."
So, I am waiting, I know that he has healed me, now I can't wait to see the evidence.
God is good all the time!!! Amen!
And as soon as my leg is healed I will post pictures.
Give God the glory all day and everyday because he is worthy!!!
