A couple of weeks ago Cowboy and I took our #2 daughter, #1 daughter's best friend and adopted with love, and her dear beloved friend/pet Bella to the sale barn.
It's hard to say good bye to a dear friend, let alone a friend/pet that you have had to go outside and take care of like it was you child. Watch them grow and get stronger and stronger everyday. But when you live on the farm you just know way back in your mind that someday that they will have to leave, if it be early to the sale or maybe to their death. Livestock just doesn't live as long as people, so you just learn at an early age that is what is going to happen.
So we loaded her up and took her to the sale barn. Of course, we had to stay and make sure she didn't get put in a pin with a bunch of mean cows (like we had anything to do with it). We waited as long as we could to see if she would go through the sale before we left, but we ended up leaving before she went through.
So #2 daughter we know that you will miss her, hope that you remember the good times with her.
Here are some pictures of Bella:
Bella, I see your pretty white face in the corner, you will be missed!
Bella, where are you? Why can't them other cows calm down?
These ladies was just as calm as could be.
Bella isn't in this pin, she is in the pin in the above picture were their not as calm.
Why couldn't Bella be in this one?
Lots of cattle selling that day.
Grass is burning up here because of the drought, so people are trying to sell early.
As you can see some of the cows needed to go earlier than this day. Poor things looked as if they were starving.

Just another picture of Bella.
A picture of more cattle coming in. We are over top of the cattle and looking down.
Inside the sale barn, waiting for it to start.
Cowboy waiting for the sale to start.
Just another day on the farm, not always pleasant but it's a good life to live.
Have a blessed day,
Kim

I know how that is, hugs to #2 daughter! Since living on a farm, been there, done that, we had good neighbor's and friend's that took one of our goat's to the sale barn with some of her sheep for us. But we're not selling or breeding goats anymore though.
Blessings,
Amy
