412 Fun!

Here in Eastern Oklahoma we have what we fondly call the 412 auction (not its actual name).  On the first Saturday of the month you can bring anything and everything you want to get rid of and auction it off.  We always bring our chickens.  We have done this a couple of years and made pretty good money of course with our prayers answered, because God is good that way.  Anyways, I decide I would take some pictures and show some of the redneck fun or I mean the 412 fun that we have on that 1st Saturday of the month.

This is the line for checking in/dropping off your chickens to sale, and we got there around 6:00am.  We are at the back of the line.  But about 30 minutes later we were in the middle of the waiting line.  People and chickens where everywhere.
This is the pole barn were we are all trying to get our chicken  too.
(picture below)
We just marvel at some of the pens that people will put together to put there birds in.  As you will see not all of the birds are chickens, there are turkeys, ducks, peacocks and the list is endless on the birds.  In the picture above these birds had already sold and they were waiting for their ride to their new home.

Need some eggs to hatch out, yes they sell those there too!
And this is just some of the automobiles that you see driven to come to the 412 auction.
Cowboy is looking to buy and bring home something, OH NO!
If you put on the pen what you have in it and a little something about it you can sometimes get more out of them, like this Stud below, he brought $75.00!

Oh yeah the Amish hamburgers there are the best around.  You get a hamburger, bag of chips and pop for $5 bucks, not a bad deal, and the hamburger is really good.
This day that we went, we also took a trailer full of hay and someone decide to go to sleep on it.  To much action for the day I guess!
What's this?
Do we have a princess among us?  What kind of chicken or bird showed up here, I don't remember seeing this one!
Like I said they will use anything, yes even an old air conditioner box!
Hope you had fun looking at all the pictures, we had a lot of fun going.
Blessings to you and yours,
Kim
