My sweet daughter showing some love to the precious babies in Haiti.
This is also my daughter talking to just a few of the kids that she came in contact with in Haiti back in March.
I just love the sweet, giving, and loving spirit that my daughter has, she went to Haiti on a missions trip in March on her Spring Break and came back a changed young lady. She got to witness a young childs healing, touch hearts and just feel in love with these hurt people.
Missions is where she feels the Lord is sending her. She has such a strong urge to do this. So I wasn't surprised when she came back from her trip that she would want to go back.
She came home started to unload her stuff in the middle of the livingroom floor and just stopped and said momma I have to go back. But the Lord had already prepared me for it and I knew she would say this, and I told her I already knew that.
So this summer in just 19 more days she will be leaving to spend her summer with all of those precious babies in Haiti, and this momma is very proud of her.
She heard his call and said send me.
Isaiah 6:8 (NIV)
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
8 Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”
And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Love her so very much, but God only gives our children to us for a little while, we are to raise them up in the way they should go and all I can say is that I hope that Cowboy and I did all that He asked us to do. (You know as a parent you are always wondering if you did right by your children and taught them the right way, or anyway we have.)
Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
6 Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
So, please, keep her in your prayers and the wonderful people of Haiti and I thank you.
May God bless your day,
Kim
