Enjoying the Morning Views

As I let the dogs out to go to the bathroom this morning, I hear the birds chirping.
I look over to see on the power lines close to the house Scissortails.  One is just chirping away at the other, but the other is just sitting there, not impressed.  So the one chirping flies off to meet another Scissortail in the air and they do a dance around each other in the air and take a nose dive toward the pond.  Out of site I see them no more, not sure where they flew off to but I know not in the pond.
Then I hear the Scissortail left on the line chirping and then behind me another on top of one of the trees in our field call back at her.  It flies over to meet the one left on the line and they dance around in the air as if greeting one another and land on the lines with the electric pole between them.
This makes me happy to see that the Scissortails always come back to our place every summer. I am not a bird watch but the Scissortail is fun to watch.
Then before leaving for work, I have a little time to get to sit out on the back patio and eat breakfast.  As sitting there, I get to hear a dove cooing up in one of our trees in the yard. And I stop to thank the Lord for the birds that He has sent to our little prairie, because he has shown them that they have a safe place to come to live.  My husband doesn't dove hunt, so when dove season comes around they seem to flock to our place until they feel safe again.
God is so good to us, if you just look around and see the little things that He has for us to enjoy, like the birds.  Like I said I am not a bird watcher but the ones that we have been blessed with that come to our little prairie are a joy to watch.

Hosea 11:11New International Version (NIV)

They will come from Egypt,
    trembling like sparrows,
    from Assyria, fluttering like doves.
I will settle them in their homes,”
    declares the Lord.

I love to bird watch! I have a bird book and a birding journal and digital camera binoculars. I love taking pictures of all kinds of birds that we have here and matching them with scripture. I use my photos and scripture as the cover photo for our church bulletins now.
