Barn Party

Barn and Hay is being prepared!
This will be our 6th year to have a Hallelujah Barn Party for our kids. When they got to old for the Hallelujah Party at Church they didn't understand why, and then we started homeschooling them and they really was feeling left out, so mom having the tender heart for her kids ask dad with his tender heart if we could use his barn to have a party and hay ride, wellllll, of course dad couldn't say no, even if it was hunting season. And, so now it has grown from just family to our homeschool groups and church family. Last year we had over 100 people, we plan to have that many this year. My husband has been getting the hay brought in and stacked in rolls for the kids to climb all over and just have a great time. The parents seem to like the bon fire and making smores. The kids and well the parents can come dressed up as a Bible character or someone that they read about, nothing scary. Everyone brings food to share, candy, pop, hot chocolate, or hot apple cider. We do a pumpkin exchange, families are to decorate their pumpkin and then draw names and you go home with someone elses pumpkin (or suppose too, we kinda forgot about it last year) At the end of it all we have a hay ride and then share candy that everyone has brought. We always have a good time with everyone here. We do this to bring Glory to God.

Glad you are getting some hay put up Kim, we have plenty of hay but we're starting to downsize our herd soon since the hay has gone sky high here in Ohio!

We are SO excited about you annual Hallelujah Barn Party. My children look forward to it every year. We used to do the church party. We came to your party and my children were thrilled to do this instead from then on. We were trying to think of costumes for the girls. Every time anyone mentioned one that required a skirt my youngest daughter would say, "can't wear a skirt, need to be able to climb on the hay bales!" Too funny! Thanks in advance for another wonderful family memory.
