I Love Old Things

Panhandle of OK
On our way to and in Colorado we always see the remains of old farms and mining towns. I really like the hands on history, to get out and see what our great nation of hard workers have left behind. To show how they were trying to make a better life for themselves and us as a nation. Here are some pictures that I took on our 7 day vacation (and by the way that is a long vacation for us because we have livestock and we don't like to leave them to long).
Old Cabin from an old mining town.
Alma, CO
Mosquito Pass over 13,000 ft.
London Mill
North London Mine
Lake City, CO outside of an ice cream shop, which is my daughters favorite place to visit. The last time we were there was 8 years ago.
Gunnison, CO
This barn's bottom is log. Don't you know that it has to be warm in those cold winter days!
Just had to laugh!
This picture was taken for Cowboy, it was one of his favorite finds.
We stopped at the Pioneer Museum in Gunnison, CO and found all kinds of old things. A lot of the pictures after this one is from there.

This was just cool!
Marilyn Monroe is on the passenger side.
These horses are so old you can't even see them.
They were so gentle just letting them pet them, they didn't even get spook when you ran up on them. lol
She has been waiting for a long time for her husband to get out of the car part of the museum.

Read this and then look at the car below. The car is just amazing and beautiful!

Little Sister

Old school house at the museum.
Hope you enjoyed some of our finds on our vacation.
I challenge you to look around and find some of the old things in your town and try to see the hard work that those before us did to make our towns and states what they are today.
May God bless your day,
Kim
