Love is Kind

I love the romance of the old west.
God blessed me with a country boy that had, and still has, the love that the old west represents.  You know that hard working cowboy who loves God, his wife, kids, dog and his place.  He takes pride in all of these things and he wants nothing but the very best for them.
So when Cowboy and I was building our house we tried to decorate our house inside and out that represented that fill.  No, our house isn't that rough western or southwestern look.  Some people even say that it has to much of the fancy stuff to it, but we like it and it's our western country look.
Anyway, after we finished the house we start on the outside.  And this picture represents just a little something that Cowboy wanted to make me happy about, a hitching post for future horses that we planned on having and we have them today.  I ask him to build an old looking water trough to go under it, like that in Gunsmoke, and he did.  It stood empty for several years until I spied these day lilies/tiger lilies (that's what we call them) down the road at the old school house.  So, my Mom and I went down and dug a few of them up and planted them in the water trough.
Anyway, I have been wanting to take this picture for a couple of days and put it on my blog not sure what I was going to say to go with it.  But God had already been working, I got up this morning with the love verses on my heart and I knew that this picture would go with these verses.
Here it is:
I Corinthians 13:4-8a
"Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails..."

Life is to short to not to love.
So, start looking at people around you as God does,
no matter what they look like, act like or sometimes even smell like.
Have a great and blessed day,
Kim
