My Outside

What do you see when you step out the front or back door of your house?
This is what my family and I see:
This first 2 pictures are the front of our place.
These next 3 pictures are looking out back of our house
The wind had been blowing very hard, gusting up to 25 to 30 mph, so it knocked over the kids old play house.
When we bought our place, I thought we have no hills or mountains.  I am not going to like it here but it is just temporary, we will not be here long and we will find something with more hills and curves to it.
We have been here 11 years now and I have come to love it here, not that I wouldn't like to move some where with some tall hills or mountains.
But a couple of years ago the kids had to read a book called "A Lantern in Her Hand" by Bess Streeter Aldrich. In this book the main character and her husband moves to Nebraska territory and she describes the beauty of the prairies and I fell in love.  I had never looked at our place like that before.  Now don't get me wrong I loved our place when we bought it, but I love it even more now after reading that book.  God makes the most beautiful land no matter where you live, you just have to open your eyes and heart to see it.  So be content with what God has given you and don't just look with your eyes but also with your heart.
Psalm 23:1
"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."

May you and your family have a blessed day,
Kim

Very nice pictures!

When I step outside our back door, I usually am greeted by our cats, our Great Pyrenees dogs or deer or wild turkeys.

Blessings,
